Count Me In Too celebrates Pride
Sunday, 8 August 2010
Members of the Count Me In Too research team, along with some kind student and community volunteers, joined Brighton & Hove's LGBT communities in celebrating Pride in Preston Park. Representing LGBT research in the first-ever University of Brighton tent in the community village area of the park, Count Me In Too showcased key research findings and impacts to the largest-ever Pride in Brighton & Hove, demonstrating the value of research for promoting positive social change for LGBT people.
Visitors to Count Me In Too's exhibition had the chance to chat with project representatives about the research, to feed back to the project, and also to learn more about future LGBT research events in the area, including the upcoming Transforming LGBT Lives conference on September 15th.
This year's Pride event has already been dubbed the 'best Brighton Pride ever' by Pride's fundraising manager Judith Manson, and Count Me In Too is proud to have been a part of it.
