Saturday, 1 November 2008
The project team succeded in a bid to the South East Coastal Communities (SECC) project which received £3 million from central funding for higher education to be used by 9 institutions. The SECC project includes community university partnerships with the Universities of Brighton & Sussex that focus on children and families, disabled people, older people, and LGBT people.
Consultation with LGBT people and other stakeholders will take place over the winter to direct the next phase of the project, aiming to renew community involvement and share findings with LGBT people, as well as facilitating further use of data to progress social change for local LGBT people. Consultation events will offer opportunities to hear about and discuss the wealth of data compiled since 2005.
