Count Me In Too project joins national LGBT History Month pre-launch
Thursday, 19 November 2009
On 19th Novembrer, the Count Me In Too research project, which has been researching LGBT lives and needs in Brighton & Hove since 2005, joined the national pre-launch of LGBT History Month 2010 at the British Museum in London. Alongside other LGBT support groups and community organisations from around the country, Count Me In Too helped highlight the diversity of the UK’s LGBT history, and promoted the unique and varied needs of its communities.
By exhibiting at this prestigious event, Count Me In Too promoted research carried out in partnership by academics and community members at a national level, showing that Brighton & Hove’s LGBT communities are at the forefront of this kind of work. This also gave the opportunity to show the project's findings about the needs of LGBT people to an influential national audience.
The event was also a chance for Count Me In Too to debut its new community summary resource pack, which collates bite-sized summaries of its findings with suggestions on how to use the research in schools and education. Download the accompanying Community Summary Resource Pack here.
